Regression Therapy


Regression Therapy covers current life and past lives memories some of which may be below the level of our conscious awareness. It enables the conflicts from the past that have been distorting our mental, emotional and physical well-being to be resolved.

An example from the current life may be a phobia and a more complex one post traumatic stress from childhood trauma or a life threatening situation. The symptoms may include panic attacks, emotional outbursts, blocked feelings, self harm, numbness, unexplainable physical pain or recurring relationship problems.

Regression Therapy involves going back to a person’s past in order to find the reasons for current behaviour and thinking patterns. It includes body therapy and inner child therapy to transform it in a way that is both safe and structured.

Perhaps you are one of the people who think that it is unnecessary to ‘dig around in the past’. In many cases you might be right. However, very often it is the one thing that will bring about the most permanent healing, simply because we carry the scars of our past around with us until they are dealt with.

Imagine having a small splinter in a tender part of your body. Now imagine that splinter being ignored and left to fester. Eventually there is a large infected area. You can treat that area as much as you like, but until the original little offending splinter is removed, there will never be complete healing.


What at the benefits of Regression Therapy?

Regression Therapy can be a transformative and insightful process for anyone. I've helped clients resolve many concerns including:

A specific issue or life-long pattern can often be worked through in just a few sessions. It is essential, however, that each layer of the trauma — physical, mental, emotional and spiritual — be transformed and integrated for complete healing to occur.


What if the memory is too painful to face?

I use certain ‘distancing’ techniques to prevent the client from experiencing trauma if their experiences might prove to be too painful. The client views the event as if it happened to somebody else. The idea is not to experience the event all over again. The whole point of the therapy is for understanding, not to re-live the trauma.

While it is true that we often repress very painful memories, often I find that the relevant ‘splinters’ causing pain and stopping a person from being ‘whole’ are quite small. It is the reaction to them (in the young subconscious mind that is learning about the world) that caused the festering problem.


How many sessions will I need?

Regression Therapy generally involves a reasonably short series of 2.5 hour sessions aimed at finding resolution for a specific goal or issue. It may include both past life or current life regression work, often being a combination of both. It aims to address and bring healing to the root of your issue, and facilitates transformation and empowerment at very deep levels to help you achieve your therapeutic goal. 

What is the difference between Regression Therapy and Past Life Therapy?

Past Life Therapy accesses memories that originate in past lives. However, not all memories relate to past lives, they may be childhood memories that have been hidden in the subconscious mind.
